About us | General

Coast Bistro is owned by Lee & Sian. Lee is the head chef and runs his kitchen with a strong local team. His passion for fish doesn’t just stop in the kitchen, when he’s not cooking, he loves nothing more than taking his boat out or finding a quiet spot to fish off the rocks.

Sian runs front of house, providing a friendly yet professional service. They feel very lucky to run their business in the place they and their families have grown up in. Coast is situated in the centre of The Lizard Village. We are in the perfect spot for enjoying the cornish summers. We have seating on our sunny patio area and a woodburner and sofas indoors for those windy, wet and cold winter days. If it is drink  you fancy, we offer something for everyone, from local ales to selected wines and even a jug of pimms for those warm sunny afternoons. We are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, we are dog and child friendly.

About us | The Area

The Lizard is situated at the most southern point of the UK. It has its very own unique climate and it is not unusual to experience sunshine, rain and wind all in one day.

The rare geology of the area creates a haven for exceptional plants, flowers and wildlife, making it an attractive location for keen bird watchers, conservationists and anyone with a love for nature. The whole of The Lizard Peninsula has a footpath running right around the coast, you can opt for a leisurely 20 minutes stroll taking in the breath taking views or plan a whole day or week of rambling, either way, you won’t be dissapointed.

About us | The Food

We pride ourselves on supporting local businesses ensuring the best produce goes into our dishes, they are chosen by the ingredients which are available locally and in season.

Breakfast will provide you with Retallacks sausages, sold a few steps outside the front door & free range cornish eggs, which are delivered daily by the local farmer. Lunch brings a favourite of crab salad, The crabs are caught in the sea around The Lizard Peninsula, areas that give Cornwall its
beautiful coastline. Dinner, you can enjoy our fresh lobsters caught at Cadgwith Cove, by Nigel Legge, Sian’s father. The Lizard is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean providing us with the finest selection of seafood and it is often caught, cooked and eaten all on the same day. With all this choice on our doorstep it means food miles are kept to a minimum. If it is more of a quick snack you are looking for whilst walking and enjoying what Cornwall has to offer, we have a take away menu serving sandwiches & ciabattas. Homemade cakes, cream teas and coffees are always available, making us the perfect spot to stop after a day of exploring and sight seeing.
